It is a meeting of elegance and class as First Bank, Nigeria’s premier and leading money deposit bank, breaks ground to build a 40-floor Head Office in Eko Atlantic City.

The state-of-the-art building, touted as the first of its kind in Nigeria will, on completion, be Nigeria’s tallest commercial office building that fits into the plan and design of Eko Atlantic City as home of skyscrapers and extra-ordinary real estate.

A statement by the Bank on Wednesday described the building as a significant milestone and an ambitious project set to be an engineering and environmental delight due to its technologically advanced, eco-friendly and sophisticated construction that would set a new standard for the financial services sector in Africa.

According to the statement, the groundbreaking ceremony signifies the beginning of a transformative journey that reinforces FirstBank’s commitment to excellence, innovation, and customer satisfaction.

It adds that the new headquarters is designed with sustainability in mind, featuring a green-certified building that reduces operational costs and positions the bank as a leader in sustainable banking practices.

The statement quotes Olusegun Alebiosu, CEO, FirstBank Group, as saying, “we are proud to mark this significant milestone in our journey towards excellence. Our new Head Office is envisioned as a world-class structure that represents our dedication to innovation, customer satisfaction, and sustainability.

First Bank will, today, Wednesday, March 5, conduct the groundbreaking ceremony for its new green-certified iconic head office building at Eko Atlantic City, Lagos.

A statement by Ag. Group Head, Marketing & Corporate Communications, First Bank of Nigeria Limited, Olayinka Ijabiyi, said the 40-storey building project is designed to be the tallest building in Nigeria.

“It will be an engineering and environmental delight due to its technologically advanced, eco-friendly and sophisticated construction which would set a new standard for the financial services sector in Africa,” the statement said in part.
