Theme: Dedication to God in Soul Winning - The Qualities Needed Parts 1&2.
Text: Mark 16:15-20.
SEEDS OF DESTINY
Stop procrastinating- Do it now. Ephesians 5:15. To redeem time means to maximize each moment and to use time with purpose. Jesus' life was short, but deeply purposeful and impacting. Time is a gift that must be handled with urgency.
- Tomorrow is not guaranteed
- Later is not promised, so procrastination is not an option.
OBJECTIVES OF THE MESSAGE
1. To understand the necessities for soul winning.
2. To understand the needed qualities for soul winning. Mark 16:15-20. Go ye into the world and preach the gospel ….. confirming His words with signs and wonders. John 4:36 said "...he that reapeth receiveth wages".
PURPOSE OF SOUL WINNING
1. Oswald J Smith says - THE SUPREME TASK OF THE CHURCH IS THE EVANGELIZATION OF THE LOST - Go ye into the world and preach the gospel. Soul winning is the supreme task given to the church. That is our mandate from God.
2. GODS PURPOSE IS TO SATURATE THE EARTH WITH THE GOD KIND OF PEOPLE. Genesis 1:27-28. You Carry God’s image and likeness. Fill the earth with this image and likeness of God and let not the earth be filled with the image of isolators and evil doers
3. THE SCRIPTURES TELLS US THAT SOUL WINNING IS THE HEARTBEAT OF GOD. 2nd Peter 3:9. The winning of souls is the heartbeat of God. As we honor God, we cannot struggle with honor. Honor God in the winning of souls. 1 Samuel 2:30. A child that dies what is dear to the heart of his father will experience so much joy from the father.
4. SOUL WINNING IS THE GREAT COMMISSION WHICH IS THE GREAT COMMANDMENT THAT GUARANTEES OUR TRUE FULFILLMENT IN LIFE. Luke 10:1-2,17. The seventh returned with joy.
5. THE EVANGELIZATION OF THE LOST AND THE DISCIPLESHIP OF THE SAVED IS THE MAJOR ASSIGNMENT OF THE CHURCH. John 15:16.
6. OUR MASTER JESUS CHRIST WHO IS THE MAIN REASON FOR OUR BEING CHOSEN IS TO BEAR FRUITS THAT REMAIN.
A) Your being chosen by Christ is not conferred or confirmed until you begin to bear fruits that remain.
B) Until you do what God wants, He is not under obligation to do what you want.
C) Soul winning was the last wish on the cross, of the master before he passed. Mathew 28:18-20. Mark 16:15-20 Jesus commission to us to go and preach the word. If Jesus last words mean nothing to you, then your problems and issues will mean nothing to him.
D) Soul winning is the great commission and if the great commission becomes the great omission, the outcome will be great frustration. If what he wants us to commit to doing, we omit to do it, the outcome is great frustration.

HOW ARE YOU FULFILLED?
What is it that drives us? What is the necessity of soul winning?
Why should we take soul winning seriously?
1. Because it cost God his only begotten son to save the lost. John 3:16. Isaiah 53:1-5,11 …. He travailed and is looking forward to his happiness. The cost of redemption was very high, that’s why we must win souls so that his sacrifice is not in vain. We may not win every soul but - Try your best to win as many souls as you can. WIN AS MANY AS YOU CAN. Make a difference in someone’s life. It cost God his only begotten son to save the lost.
2. Because of the reality and the eternity of hell. Hell is real and Hell is eternal. Psalm 9:17. The wicked shall be turned into hell. Mathew 25:41- …. depart from me ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels. Mathew 5:30. If your hand causes you to sin, cut it off. Mark 9:43. Heaven and Hell is real. If you’re living without Jesus, when you die, you go to eternal hell. Every soul that is not saved is headed for real hell.
3. Because of the value of the human soul. The soul of a man, carries the stamp and deposit of God. Genesis 1:25-27, 2:7. Every man you see how’s the breath of God inside them, the deposit of God in them. Mathew 16:26. The highest gift you can give any man is to assist them to be saved and to know their maker.
4. Because of the heart of the father, He’s not willing that any should perish. 2 Peter 3:9.
WHAT ARE THE QUALITIES OF A TRUE SOUL WINNER?
1. A genuine encounter with God. That is what qualifies you to be a soul winner. An encounter with God that is deep and not superficial, nobody will beg you to win souls. John 1:40-42. …. We have found the messiah … Andrew encountered the Messiah and he had to tell his brother Simon, who later became Peter. John 4:28-30. The woman of Samaria evangelized about Jesus after encountering him genuinely. She couldn’t stop talking about the encounter. If you’re shy to talk about God, then your encounter with Him is not real.
2. The heart of compassion and passion for souls. Mathew 9:36-38 and 1 Corinthians 9:16…. Necessity is laid upon me to preach the gospel.
3. It is the empowerment of the Holy Spirit Acts 1:8. Romans 5:5. Acts 4:31, John 16:8.
Three things that the Holy Spirit does for you: -
A). The Holy Spirit will saturate your heart with love for God. Romans 5:5
B). The Holy Spirit imparts upon us and gives us the power to minister with boldness and power to speak for God. Acts 1:8 and Acts 4:31.
C). The Holy Spirit gives us capacity to speak with conviction. John 16:8.
4. The Holy Spirit gives you the God-first mindset, mentality and lifestyle. Mathew 6:33. Seek ye first the kingdom of God and all His righteousness…. Isaiah 43:21. This people have I formed for myself, to show forth my praise. Philippians 1:21. For me to live is Christ and to die is gain. Revelation 4:11 thou art worthy oh Lord, to receive glory and power, for thou was created to give God pleasure ….. My business enterprise is a kingdom assignment - it is my duty to ensure that everyone I encounter will miss hell and make heaven.
5. Genuine transformation of your life. When you’re genuinely transformed by God and don’t need any coercion to transform and win souls. Mathew 5:15-16. Let your light shine brightly that men may see your good works and glorify your father in heaven. Mark 1:45. Jesus healed the leper and asked him not to tell anyone. That is because he will have to explain the drastic changes to people, but despite the instructions, he couldn’t keep it to himself and he announced it to all and they came trooping to see Jesus to also receive their miracle. God I need that kind of transformation that will be so visible that I can’t keep quiet about it. Acts 11:26 and when he had found him, he brought him to Antioch …. and the disciples were called Christian’s.
6. When your heart is connected with the heartbeat of God. Psalm 42:1-2. My soul pants for God. 1 Samuel 17:23-26 who is this uncircumcised Philistine ….. verse 26. When you have the heartbeat of God, you are on a rescue mission, to rescue people from the Goliath’s of our generation. Lord I ask for a portion of that passion that made you die on the cross to save the world and redeem us back to God.
7. Prayer is the act and passion for the intercession of souls, which is the most important commission of Christian’s. Mathew 6:9.
- Prayer helps us to break the powers of darkness and the grip of the adversary, that holds sinners in captivity. Mathew 12:29. Mark 3:27.
- Prayer, especially in the spirit, helps us to speak the right words during evangelism. Isaiah 50:4.
- Prayer helps us to birth Christ in people. Galatians 4:19. We pray until Christ is formed and birthed in the people.
8. It is the possession of kingdom vision. Kingdom vision must drive our lives in every aspect. God provides for missions that drive kingdom visions. Psalm 132:1-5. 122:9. Luke 5:1-6. As long as Peter toiled for himself, he got nothing. But the moment he included kingdom vision in his endeavor and gave his ship to Jesus, he couldn’t handle the catch. Whatever you do as a job, ensure that kingdom vision is included.
REASONS WHY WE MUST WIN SOULS
1. Dedication to God in soul wining is a non-negotiable responsibility of every Christian. Mathew 16:15.
2. No other form of dedication to God replaces that act or action of soul wining. John 15:16. God has chosen me to go and bring forth fruit and that my fruit should remain.
3. Don’t let your activity for God replace your intimacy with God.
4. Dedication to God in soul wining is non-negotiable.

- Supreme task of the Church is the Evangelization of the lost
- God's purpose is to saturate the earth with His kind of people
- Soul winning is the heartbeat of God. God is not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance
- Soul winning is the great commission that guarantees our fulfillment as children of God
