The Adamawa State Police Command has apprehended a 35-year-old man, Abdulaziz Mohammed, for allegedly defiling a five-year-old girl in the Mubi North Local Government Area. The arrest was made following a complaint lodged by the victim’s father at the Mubi North Divisional Police Headquarters.

In a statement issued to newsmen in Yola, the Police Spokesman in the state, SP Suleiman Nguroje, revealed that the incident occurred on March 17, 2025. According to the statement, the suspect lured the young girl into his grinding engine shop located at Kasuwan Borkono, Mubi North, and sexually assaulted her, fully aware that she was a minor.

The suspect was promptly arrested, while the victim was rushed to a medical facility in Mubi for examination and treatment.
