Washington, D.C. — On January 20, 2025, Donald J. Trump was sworn in as the 47th President of the United States, marking his second, non-consecutive term in office. The event was attended by several hundred officials and supporters, including notable figures such as tech entrepreneur Elon Musk. 

In his inaugural address, President Trump proclaimed the end of America's decline and the dawn of a new "golden age." Among the immediate actions announced, President Trump declared a national emergency along the southern border, aiming to halt all illegal immigration. He outlined plans to deploy troops to the U.S.-Mexico border, increase domestic oil production, and impose new tariffs on foreign goods. Additionally, he signaled intentions to withdraw from international agreements, such as the Paris Climate Accord, and to rename the Gulf of Mexico as the "Gulf of America." 

The President also addressed energy policies, announcing a National Energy Emergency to boost oil drilling efforts, with the goal of achieving energy independence and reducing living costs. He criticized previous green energy initiatives and pledged to end subsidies for electric vehicles.
