Celebrating the Remarkable Life of Mrs. Ezinne Paulina Ogbonne Ogah, JP

25 January 1944 – 31 May 2024

We celebrate the extraordinary legacy of Mrs. Ezinne Paulina Ogbonne Ogah, JP, today with much reverence and thanks to the Most High God. She was a matriarch whose life was an embroidery of love, faith, tenacity, and an unflinching dedication to family and community. Born on January 25, 1944, and departing for paradise on May 31, 2024, Mrs. Ogah left behind a legacy that will be treasured for many generations within the Ogah family. Her eight decades on earth were characterised by unending kindness, grace, and unwavering determination.

Being a mother to many, a grant mother, and a great mother, Mrs. Ogah was a lady of God whose principles were based on grace, humility, and power. As a devoted wife, a loving mother, a beloved grandmother, great grandmother, and an esteemed leader in her community, she embodied the ideals of selflessness, integrity, and compassion. Her faith was the cornerstone of her life; she was a devout Christian who shared her convictions with all she encountered, nurturing not only her own children but countless others who were blessed to know her.

Being the mother of our beloved friend and client, Chief Ndubuisi Iroetugo Ogah, Chairman of Energy Guru International and Movers Light & Oil Services Limited, Mrs. Ogah's impact has had a lasting impact on her family, motivating them to follow in her footsteps of tenacity and aspiration. She instilled a strong sense of discipline, determination, and purpose in her children, which have served as guiding principles in both their personal and professional life. In his own right, Chief Ndubuisi is a visionary leader who embodies his mother's principles via his dedication to quality, inventiveness, and a love of empowering unemployed youths in the society.

The life and accomplishments of one of her sons, Mr. Uche Ogah, a former Minister of State in the Federal Ministry of Solid Minerals and Mines Development in Nigeria and the Chairman of Masters Energy Group, further demonstrate Mrs. Ogah's significant influence. Mr. Uche Ogah, who is well-known for his inspirational leadership and his dedication to the expansion and advancement of Nigeria's mineral resources industry, is a living example of his mother's values of honesty, hard labour, and national service. She helped him form the values that would make him a champion for economic empowerment and sustainable development, which would affect not only his family but the entire country. Mrs. Ogah’s legacy shines brightly through her son’s contributions to both private industry and public service in Nigeria, reflecting her deep-seated values of excellence, resilience, and service. Her influence will continue to inspire and shape lives through the exemplary work of her sons and the enduring impact of her legacy.

Mrs. Ogah’s legacy extends beyond her immediate family to the larger community, where she was a beacon of hope and a symbol of integrity. Known for her kindness and unwavering support, she earned the respect of those around her, not just by her words but by the strength of her actions. As a Justice of the Peace, she stood as a guardian of fairness and justice, ensuring that those under her influence were treated with the dignity and respect they deserved. Her home was a sanctuary of hospitality and warmth, where all who entered were welcomed with open arms and left inspired by her wisdom and kindness.

Her lasting legacy serves as a testament to the strength of a life devoted to family, faith, and service. We learnt from Mrs. Ogah that the real test of success is not monetary money but rather the lives we influence, the morals we teach, and the love we provide. Her children, grandchildren, friends, and everyone else who had the honour of getting to know her personally carry her memory with them forever. We honour a life well lived as we commemorate her today, one that has greatly benefited all of us, even through our encounters with these your sons in the marketplace.

May her kind spirit rest in eternal peace and may her example of service, love, and faith serve as an inspiration to all of us as we continue to contribute our own quota to our world and generation.

Adieu, Mama Ezinne Paulina Ogbonne Ogah, JP. Your light will forever shine in our hearts.
