Pictorial: NFF unveils Chelle as new Super Eagles coach

The Nigeria Football Federation has officially unveiled Éric Sékou Chelle as the new Head Coach of the Super Eagles.

The unveiling ceremony took place on Monday in the Media Conference Room of the MKO Abiola National Stadium, Abuja, marking a significant step forward for the nation's football management.

Probitas Report confirms that Chelle's appointment, announced last Tuesday, was the result of a recommendation by the NFF’s Technical and Development Committee. He now assumes the mantle as the third head coach since Portuguese tactician José Peseiro departed the role.

At 47 years old, Chelle brings a wealth of experience to his new position. According to the NFF, he and his team of assistants are tasked with leading the Super Eagles B team at the upcoming African Nations Championship, which will take place across Tanzania, Kenya, and Uganda. Their focus will then shift to the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifying campaign, starting with matches against Rwanda (away) and Zimbabwe (home) in March.

Chelle’s appointment signals a renewed commitment to achieving excellence in Nigerian football and ignites anticipation for the team's performance under his leadership.
