KREENO CONSORTIUM CEO VISITS NSCDC, OYO STATE COMMAND, TO STRENGTHEN PARTNERSHIP IN FIGHT AGAINST FINANCIAL CRIMES; CELEBRATES ONE-YEAR ANNIVERSARY OF TRACKING UNIT

The Chief Executive Officer of Kreeno Debt Recovery and Private Investigation Agency (Kreeno Consortium), Dr. Ohio O. Ojeagbase, today, paid a courtesy visit to the State Commandant of Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Oyo State Command, Commandant Augustine Padonu, at the Command Headquarters in Agodi, Ibadan.

The meeting, which took place on Tuesday, July 8, 2025, was aimed at fostering a symbiotic relationship between NSCDC and Kreeno Consortium in the ongoing fight against financial crimes across Oyo State and beyond.

Speaking during the visit, Dr. Ojeagbase emphasized the importance of strategic partnerships in combating the rising tide of financial crimes in Nigeria.

The Kreeno Consortium CEO highlighted that the visit also served to celebrate the one-year anniversary of NSCDC's specialized Tracking Unit, which has made significant strides in investigating and preventing various forms of financial fraud and cybercrime within the State.

"The establishment of the Tracking Unit represents a forward-thinking approach to modern security challenges," Dr. Ojeagbase noted. "We are here to explore ways our expertise in financial fraud investigation and debt recovery can complement the excellent work already being done by this unit."

Responding to the visit, Commandant Augustine Padonu expressed appreciation for Kreeno Consortium's initiative and commitment to supporting security efforts in the State. "We welcome this partnership proposal as it aligns with our mandate to protect citizens and their property from criminal activities," Commandant Padonu said. "NSCDC is always ready to collaborate with reputable private organizations that share our vision of a safer Nigeria."

The State Commandant emphasized that the partnership would be particularly valuable in areas such as intelligence sharing, capacity building, and joint operations against financial crimes. "Financial crimes have evolved significantly, and we need innovative approaches and partnerships to stay ahead of criminals," he added.

During the meeting, both parties discussed potential areas of collaboration, including training programs for personnel on modern investigation techniques

The Tracking Unit, which celebrated its first anniversary, has been instrumental in investigating cases of fraud, cybercrime, and other financial infractions within Oyo State. The unit's success in its inaugural year has made it a model.

The visit represents a significant step toward private-public partnership in security matters, particularly in addressing the sophisticated nature of modern financial crimes that require specialized expertise and resources.
