The NNPCL boss said this via his X handle while appreciating the outpour of support over the event.

The Group Chief Executive Officer of the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited, Mele Kyari, has noted that his daughter died at an appointed time. 

The NNPCL boss said this via his X handle while appreciating the outpour of support over the event.

“My daughter Fatima departed at her appointed time and looking forward to meeting her in Jannah by Allah’s grace. While the loss is great by all measures, we remain grateful to God for all his mercies,” he said.

“I didn’t know the depth of her connections with many people and what she meant to many,” he added.

Kyari thanked family members, leaders, friends, associates who showed concern while praying for repose of Fatima’s soul.

“Despite her physical challenges, she is able to touch hearts in very soothing ways, including me. Above all, her demise brought many people together and demonstrated that we all can care for others irrespective of our social circumstances. 

“I profoundly thank our leaders, family members, friends, associates, colleagues, our teachers and the countless unmentioned that joined us to pray for the repose of her soul and for consoling us.”

SaharaReporters earlier reported the death of Fatima, with the Vice President, Kashim Shettima further sending  his condolences in a statement signed by the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Communications, Office of the Vice President, Stanley Nkwocha.

Fatima was aged twenty-five before her death.
