Commandant Padonu Commends Five Outstanding Officers in Oyo State

COMMANDANT PADONU HONORS FIVE OUTSTANDING OFFICERS WITH LETTERS OF COMMENDATION IN OYO
The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) Oyo State Command has recognized excellence in service delivery as the State Commandant, Commandant Augustine Padonu, on Friday, August 15, 2025, presented letters of commendation to five outstanding management staff members for their exceptional performance in promoting the Corps across their various domains of responsibility.
The commendation ceremony took place during the monthly Commandant's briefing held at the Area "A" Command Headquarters, Iyaganku, Ibadan, where the leadership of the Command gathered to review operational activities and strategic initiatives.
The five distinguished officers who received the prestigious recognition include:
• Assistant Commandant of Corps (ACC) Orekelewa Olukayode
• Assistant Commandant of Corps (ACC) Sanda Ajibola
• Assistant Commandant of Corps (ACC) Alao Victoria
• Superintendent Abdulrasheed Sakirat
• Superintendent Awodele Bolanle
While presenting the letters of commendation, Commandant Augustine Padonu expressed his profound appreciation for the officers' immense effort, collaborative spirit, and unwavering professionalism displayed in the course of their duties. He emphasized that their dedication has significantly enhanced the Corps' visibility and operational effectiveness across the state.
The State Commandant charged the honored officers to sustain their exemplary performance and continue serving as role models for other personnel. He urged them to maintain their commitment to excellence and continue building strategic partnerships that advance the Corps' mandate of protecting critical national assets and infrastructure.

An academic juggernaut and seasoned administrator, ACC Orekelewa serves as the Area Commander of Area "H" of Oyo State Command, strategically located in Kishi. His jurisdiction encompasses the Divisional Offices of Olorunsogo, Oriire, Olokoto, Irepo, and Oorelope Divisions.
Through innovative community engagement strategies, ACC Orekelewa has secured a befitting office complex for the Area Command at the heart of Kishi, significantly improving the Corps' operational capacity in the region. His exceptional collaboration with other security agencies has created a robust security network across the axis, ensuring comprehensive protection for lives and property.
These remarkable achievements were prominently highlighted during the State CommandANT’S courtesy visit to the Iba of Kishi, Oba (Engr.) Moshood Oyekola Aweda Lawal Arowoduye II, who commended the Corps' enhanced presence and community integration under ACC Orekelewa's leadership.
ACC Sanda Ajibola, Area Commander for Area "B", is renowned for his meticulous and down-to-earth engagement approach in ensuring the mandates of NSCDC are fully upheld within his jurisdiction. Area "B" Command comprises Akinyele Central Division, Akinyele South, Akinyele East, Lagelu Central, Lagelu West, Ona Ara, and Inukan divisions.
His strategic collaboration with various stakeholders has significantly promoted NSCDC's visibility and effectiveness across the axis, establishing the Corps as a trusted security partner in the communities under his command.
ACC Alao Victoria, Assistant Commandant of Corps for Area "A" Command, oversees a vast jurisdiction comprising Ibadan South West, Ibadan North, Ibadan North West, Oluyole, Irepodun, Are Latosa, and Ibadan West divisions. She is widely recognized for her stern commitment to stakeholder engagement, an initiative that has successfully driven NSCDC deep into the hearts of the people. Her community-centered approach has strengthened public trust and cooperation, making the Corps more accessible and responsive to citizens' security needs.
Superintendent Abdulrasheed Sakirat assumed duties as Divisional Officer of Ibadan West on December 7, 2023, and has since transformed the Divisional Command through strategic community engagement initiatives. Her collaborative approach has facilitated strong partnerships with community stakeholders, resulting in the successful furnishing of the office complex and enhanced operational capabilities.
Superintendent Awodele Bolanle serves as Divisional Officer of Akinyele East, Onidundu, an inland area of Ibadan that previously had no security presence and was considered a challenging deployment location. Through her exceptional leadership and community engagement skills, she has secured an office complex for NSCDC, dramatically improving the security landscape of the community. Her achievements have transformed Onidundu from a security-challenged area into a model community where NSCDC maintains a strong, trusted presence.
This recognition underscores NSCDC, Oyo State Command's commitment to excellence and professional development. The letters of commendation serve not only as acknowledgment of outstanding service but also as motivation for other personnel to strive for similar excellence in their duties.
